IRS has received accreditation from Dutch Accreditation Council RvA and is an independent verifier for the EU MRV regulations. The accreditation has been awarded based on the requirements of ISO 14065, EU Regulations 2015/757 & 2016/2072 and this authorizes IRS to carry out:

• Assessment of Monitoring plans &
• Verification of emission reports for measurement of CO2 emitted from ships

Assessment of Monitoring Plans:

For ships under the scope of the regulation, the companies are to submit ship-specific monitoring plan by 31 August 2017. IRS can carry out assessment of ships monitoring plans. Compliance is checked against article 6 and 7 of EU Regulation 2015/757 as well as with the template prescribed in 2016/1927.

Verification of emission report:

IRS can verify the annual emissions report for compliance with the approved monitoring plan and EU MRV Regulations EU Regulation 2015/757 as well as with the template prescribed in 2016/1927. On satisfactorily compliance verification, IRS will issue a document of compliance (DOC) in respect of EU MRV regulations. DOC is valid for a period of 18 months after the end of the reporting period.
