Approval Of Service Suppliers
Firms providing
services on behalf of the Owner of a ship or a Mobile Offshore Unit, such
as measurements, tests or maintenance of safety system and equipment e.g.
Thickness Measurement, Inwater Survey, Maintenance of Fire Extinguishing
Equipments, services of inflatable life raft etc., the results of which are
used by IRS Surveyors in making decisions are subject to approval by IRS in
accordance with this procedure.
