Training for AMET University - EEDI, EEXI and CII from the Naval Architect’s Perspective, Mar 2026

A training session on “EEDI, EEXI and CII from the Naval Architect’s Perspective” was conducted on 13 March 2026 for students of AMET University as part of the ongoing academic engagement following the recent Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The session, though optional, saw strong participation with around 180 Naval Architecture students attending. Due to the high turnout, the university arranged multiple halls to accommodate all participants.

The session covered key topics related to energy efficiency and regulatory requirements in the maritime sector, including:

  • Background on energy efficiency in shipping
  • EEDI: concept, applicability, formula and attained EEDI
  • EEDI certification process
  • SEEMP: guidelines, main features and implementation
  • EEXI: concept, applicability, formula and attained EEXI
  • CII and SEEMP Part III
