About the course

This course provides a structured overview of methanol as a low-carbon marine fuel. It covers methanol fuel properties, ME-LGI engine concepts, LFSS fuel supply arrangements, injection and control systems, double-wall piping and safety features, operational changeover procedures, and compliance with IGF Code and STCW training requirements. Emphasis is placed on safe handling, leak prevention, detection systems, and emergency response to ensure reliable and compliant shipboard operations.
