Indian Register of Shipping actively supported  COMARSEM 2026 – Cochin Marine Seminar, engaging with stakeholders and contributing to discussions aligned with the maritime sector’s evolving technical, regulatory, and sustainability priorities.

COMARSEM ’26 organised by The Institute of Marine Engineers (India) in association with the Directorate General of Shipping, India was held in Kochi from 29-30 Jan  2026.

Day 1:
Mr. P. K. Mishra, Managing Director, IRS, addressed the audience alongside distinguished dignitaries, underscoring IRS’s continued engagement with the seminar’s technical and industry initiatives. He also contributed to the panel discussion on “Green Transition in Shipping: Path Towards Net Zero – Opportunities & Challenges.”

Day 2:
Mr. T. K. Sahu, Joint Managing Director, IRS, presented his expert insights on “Beyond Compliance: Human Health Across the Ship Life Cycle in an Era of New Technologies” during the panel discussion.
