The first of a series of 20 fast patrol vessel (FPV), for the Indian Coast Guard being constructed by Cochin Shipyard Ltd and named " Aadesh" was launched on 9th Jan 2013 at Kochi by Smt Jayasree Muralidharan, wife of Vice Admiral M.P.Muralidharan, AVSM, NM, Director General, Indian Coast Guard.

The vessel is of steel hull construction with aluminium superstructure.

Her overall length is 50m, breadth moulded 7.6m, and draft 1.70m.

The vessel has water jet propulsion powered by 3 nos. main engines with a designed speed of 33 knots.

The total compliment of the vessel will be 35 persons.

The vessel is being built to dual class of IRS & ABS.
